The St. Louis Blues Want To Bring Back This Pending UFA
The St. Louis Blues have not given up on re-signing pending UFA Mike Hoffman. This does make sense, as they are expected to lose Jaden Schwartz to the Kraken and Vladimir Tarasenko has requested a trade.
Hoffman was a productive addition for the Blues this past season. He did have some rough patches, but ultimately ended up being a good scorer for them. In 52 games, the 31-year-old winger had 17 goals and 36 points. He certainly would continue to be a great part of their power play, so bringing him back does seem like a smart decision. The Blues, as my pal @jprutherford has mentioned, remain interested in potentially bringing UFA winger Mike Hoffman back but I think need to move on from Tarasenko first... not sure Hoffman can wait if there's offers from teams Wednesday. But door is mutually open on both sides.

However, they only have until tomorrow to finalize a deal or Hoffman will have the opportunity to be an unrestricted free agent. If this occurs, there is a very good chance that other teams will be very interested in his services. This, in turn, would likely make his asking price go up.
We will see if the Blues are successful in re-signing him. He would be a notable loss.
