Turns Out Craig Anderson Isn't Done Yet
Just a few days ago, it was reported that Craig Anderson was retiring. That now has changed. The veteran goaltender has shockingly signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Buffalo Sabres.
The fact that Anderson is coming out of his short-lived retirement to play for the rebuilding Sabres is certainly puzzling. The 40-year-old goaltender maybe wants to maximize his playing time, as he should get many more opportunities to start this season. With the Washington Capitals this season, he was their third-string goalie and was limited to just four regular season games. In them, he had a 2-1-0 record and .915 save percentage.Interesting. Recent reports indicated Anderson made the decision to retire. Not for long. https://t.co/gbT1sT4esv

This is very interesting news, but it is still nice that Anderson will be remaining in the league for another season.
