Turns Out Marc-Andre Fleury May Retire
The Vegas Golden Knights traded Marc-Andre Fleury to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday and apparently didn't even tell him. Fleury found out on Twitter, much like the rest of us, and now there's word he could be retiring.
CHI’s leverage here is that it could absorb MAF’s full cap hit and the Hawks were NOT on MAF’s 10-team no-trade list. So, given that MAF did NOT want to play anywhere other than VGK, here’s a question: Will he report to the Hawks? Or, at age 36, might he contemplate retirement? https://t.co/Bj06YC7oMq

While Marc-Andre Fleury still hasn’t heard from anybody with the Vegas Golden Knights, he has apparently been traded to Chicago. Marc-Andre will be taking time to discuss his situation with his family and seriously evaluate his hockey future at this time.

Everything is happening. Remember when Walsh posted that picture of the sword....well it sounds like it was pretty accurate. It's going to take a lot of convincing for Fleury to join the Blackhawks, as his heart was in Vegas and he asked the team not to trade him.
Sure feels like he could be retiring, or perhaps some of his old buddies come calling....
