Vegas Golden Knights Goalie Headed to KHL

The Vegas Golden Knights have lost some goaltending depth as Oscar Dansk is leaving the NHL and is headed to play in the KHL.

The 27-year-old Swedish netminder has appeared in six games for the Golden Knights since signing back in 2017-18 and there certainly was a chance he was going to be re-signed to battle for the backup position next season. The Golden Knights are expected to be trading Marc-Andre Fleury for some forward help which would have opened up another spot.

Dansk was a former second-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets and has experience playing for the same prep school as Sidney Crosby, the same OHL franchise as Connor McDavid and a ton of international experience for his native land of Sweden. Look for Dansk to rip it up in the KHL for a couple years and see what his options are back in the NHL afterwards.
