Winnipeg Jets Acquire Brenden Dillon from Washington Capitals

The Winnipeg Jets announced they have acquired Brenden Dillon from the Washington Capitals in exchange for a 2nd-round pick in 2022, and 2023.

A steep price for some more toughness as the team has tried for a while now to get tougher to play against. The experiment of Jordie Benn didn't go as planned at the trade deadline and now the Jets move in another direction. Dillon is a veteran who is tough as nails and is under team control for three more seasons at just under $4 million per season.

Dillon and youngster Logan Stanley could form one of the most intimadating pairs in the league next season if Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice ends up playing them together. Big Stanley is listed at 6'6, meanwhile Dillon at 6'4, both hovering around 220 lbs. Needless to say the Jets just got a lot harder to play against.
