2 Possible Landing Spots For Dominik Kahun

One very intriguing free agent still available is forward Dominik Kahun. Over three NHL seasons, the 26-year-old forward has already played for four NHL teams and could very well join his fifth. His first two seasons in the NHL were quite solid. With the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2018-19 season, he scored 13 goals and had 37 points. In the following year between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres, he had 12 goals and 31 points in just 56 games. However, with just 15 points in 48 games with the Oilers this past season, it is fair to state he struggled. Could a change of scenery be enough to have him find his game again? These two teams could perhaps allow him to once again have his old offensive success.

San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks could look to sign Kahun as a middle-six option. Kahun is capable of playing both center and on either wing, so they would have multiple options with him. Furthermore, Kahun would surely have the chance to succeed there, as San Jose doesn't have the deepest forward depth. On a cheap deal, the Sharks could give Kahun a chance. He could be viewed as the replacement for fellow free agent forward, Ryan Donato

Minnesota Wild: Once the Minnesota Wild reaches an agreement with Kirill Kaprizov, they should consider signing Kahun after the fact. The Wild should have a little bit of money left once they finish this monstrous task. When looking at their group, they would benefit from adding another center. Although Kahun may not be a superstar, he would work nicely if he bounces back. He could be slotted on their second or third-line and would provide a bit more depth upfront. Keep in mind, they lost Nick Bonino this off-season and have yet to replace him.
