2 Potential Destinations for Devan Dubnyk

The NHL free agent list is dwindling down but there's still a few talented goalies looking for work, including Devan Dubnyk. The veteran netminder spent last season between the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche and could be on his way to another team for 2021-22.

2 Potential Landing Spots for Dubnyk

Pittsburgh Penguins: Dubnyk's name was recently linked to the Penguins and he could be a cheap option to bring in to compete for a job at training camp. The Penguins have Jarry as their number one tender, however Casey DeSmith is a very inexperienced backup who could be battling Dubnyk for a job next month.

Calgary Flames: The Flames are still looking for a veteran to backup Jacob Markstrom and so far haven't signed a soul. Considering they have a couple of youngsters in the minors worthy of a look, he may be in tough, but there's been some rumblings the Flames are considering a training camp invite to Dubnyk at this point. It's not likely he finds a guaranteed NHL contract before camp begins, but expect a professional tryout to be agreed upon, and Calgary seems like a very logical choice.
