2 Potential Landing Spots For Ben Hutton

Ben Hutton is still a free agent and looking for a new home. The 28-year-old defenseman had a bit of a down year this past season. In 38 games between the Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs, he had a goal and five points. When he is on his game, he is able to produce 15 to 20 points, which is not bad for a bottom-pairing defenseman. Perhaps he could find his form yet again if he joins one of these two teams.

Arizona Coyotes: Although the Arizona Coyotes are in the beginning stages of a massive rebuild, they could look to give Hutton a chance. It would not hurt them to bring in another left-handed defenseman, as their bottom-pair could use one. Furthermore, if Hutton were to find his game yet again, the Coyotes would be able to flip him at the trade deadline for a draft pick or two. For Hutton's case, it also would allow him to have a permanent spot in a team's top-six.

St. Louis Blues: The Blues are in need of another left-handed defenseman, so perhaps Hutton could work. Although Hutton is not the most fascinating of names, he would provide them with more depth. Even if he was utilized as the team's seventh defenseman, it certainly would not be a bad thing. At this point, the Blues would benefit from having another option on their backend.
