Anaheim Ducks: 2 Players Who Will Bounce Back Next Season

With the off-season starting to slow down a bit, we now have a better idea of every team's roster going into next season. Of course there will be other moves, but the craziness from the Expansion Draft and first day of free agency is officially done.

In this series, we will be taking a look at two players from each NHL team who are set to bounce back next season. Sometimes players will have down seasons, but end up completely turning it around in the following one. This will inevitably happen for this upcoming year, too. With this piece, we will be focusing on the Anaheim Ducks.

Here are their two players.

Kevin Shattenkirk D: In 2019-20, Kevin Shattenkirk turned his career right back around with the Tampa Bay Lightning and helped them win the Stanley Cup. It was the primary reason why the Ducks gave him a three-year, $11.7 million contract in the first place. However, he had his struggles this past season, as he only recorded 15 points in 55 games. It was a hard year for Anaheim in general, and he's too good of a player to produce that little. Expect to see him turn it back around next season, as he's already done it once before.

Ryan Getzlaf C: There were rumors that Ryan Getzlaf would leave the Ducks this off-season, but he is coming back for a 17th season with them. This past season was a hard one for him, though. In 48 games, he only scored five goals and registered 17 points. He may no longer be a first-line center at this stage of his career, but he should be able to produce a little more offense next season.
