Arizona Coyotes: 2 Players Expected to Be Traded Next
The NHL offseason is underway and there's been a ton of movement so far this summer. Along with mega-contracts being handed out and an expansion draft in Seattle, there's been multiple trades that will have huge impacts on the 2021-22 NHL season. Trades will continue this summer and of course into next season, so let's focus on who is next to be dealt from all 32 teams. We started with the Anaheim Ducks and now head to the desert and showcase the Arizona Coyotes.
2 Coyotes Players Expected to Be Traded Next
Phil Kessel: Make no mistake, Kessel is getting dealt by the Coyotes, we just don't know where yet. There's been a ton of speculation brewing about either the Florida Panthers or LA Kings, but at this point, nothing has materialized. It's supposed to go down this summer, but this is a trade that could happen once the season begins and teams realize they need more scoring. That's all Kessel does and he's damn good at it. With only one year left on his deal at a cap hit of $6 million and an actual cash amount of $1 million, this trade will be a big one.
Christian Dvorak: Dvorak is still young at 25 but Arizona doesn't care and has been talking trade with several teams regarding the young center. He has four more seasons at $4.45 million per, and is coming off a year where he scored 31 points in 56 games. He's a two-way threat and is developing into a very nice #2 center. The Toronto Maple Leafs had interest but nothing materialized earlier this summer. Expect a number of teams including the Montreal Canadiens, San Jose Sharks, Maple Leafs, and New York Rangers to circle back on Dvorak this summer and into next season. Arizona has one thing on their mind at this point and it's collect more draft picks for 2022 and 2023. Expect to see Dvorak and Kessel shipped out for a bunch more sometime soon.
