Calgary Flames Re-Sign Young Defenseman
The Calgary Flames have re-signed defenseman Oliver Kylington to a one-year, two-way contract. He will get paid $750,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 in the minors.
Kylington has had a rough go of it with the Flames as of late. The team waived him at the beginning of this past season and then he received minimal playing time. He only would suit up in eight games with the team and in them, he recorded an assist. In the two previous seasons, he played a combined 86 games and seemed to cement himself as a bottom-pair defenseman for them. Now, he is heading into this season without the guarantee of being on their NHL roster.OLI!

All hope is not lost though for the 24-year-old, as he could very well have a strong camp and even play bottom-pair minutes. Keep in mind, the Flames did lose a few defenseman this off-season, so there are potential spots to obtain. We will have to wait and see what occurs.
