Carolina Hurricanes Trying to Make a Trade

The Carolina Hurricanes are expected to contend in the eastern conference next season. The team has a new number one netminder in Frederik Andersen and has also recently locked up young star Andrei Svechnikov to a long-term deal. Turns out more moves could be on the way, as reports have surfaced suggesting the Hurricanes are trying to acquire a left-winger.

The Hurricanes have just over $4 million available on the salary cap and general manager Don Waddell recently spoke to the media about a deal and had this to say:

If something comes up that makes sense between now and when we start we’ll take a look at it. If not, it gives us a lot of flexibility during the year.

The Hurricanes have a decent farm system to pull from, along with four draft picks in first three rounds in 2022. Expect to see the team use their cap space and sell off some assets at some point this season. It's all or north for the 'bunch of jerks' in 2021-22.
