Chicago Blackhawks Shopping Young Forward

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to be a powerhouse in the western conference this season as they have added some serious talent. The team is also expecting to have both Jonathan Toews and Kirby Dach healthy down the middle of their lineup, which could eventually push Dylan Strome out the door.

According to reports, Strome is a primed candidate to be dealt in Chicago and is someone to look out for. Last season the former third overall pick scored only 17 points in 40 games and has shown in the past he's able to contribute more on the score sheet. He's not your typical third-line center and is much better suited for a #2 role with offensive line mates.

Look for Strome to potentially move to the wing within the top-six in Chicago if things aren't working out as the team planned come training camp and into the preseason. He's certainly going to get a look at a few different spots in the lineup.

As for a trade, it's all going to come down to the health of Dach and Toews. If both players show they are 100% healthy and able to carry the load, look for Strome to be moved, and most likely to the eastern conference. Teams like the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings would be all over Strome if he's made available.
