David Krejci Officially Signs With Czech Republic Team
Late last week, David Krejci announced that he would be leaving the NHL and going back home to play in the Czech Republic. Now, he has officially signed a one-year contract with HC Olomouc of the Czech Extraliga.
Krejci actually played for HC Olomouc's U18 team back in 2000-01, so he does have history with the organization. In 26 games for them as a youngster, he scored two goals and recorded eight total points.Máme nová saka, ale trenérovi nějak nesedí... Nevíte, co s tím? 🙂 #DK46 #VšeciSpolu pic.twitter.com/tiKJrIzX5D

During his 15-year career with the Boston Bruins, Krejci was consistently one of their top forwards, so his presence will sure be missed. He would go on to play 962 with the Bruins, where he scored 215 goals and registered 730 points.
With HC Olomouc, though, Krejci will have the chance to spend far more time with his family. That's a real win for him at the end of the day.
