Detroit Red Wings: 2 Players Who Will Bounce Back Next Season

With the off-season starting to slow down a bit, we now have a better idea of every team's roster going into next season. Of course there will be other moves, but the craziness from the Expansion Draft and first day of free agency is officially done.

In this segment, we will be taking a look at two players from each NHL team who are set to bounce back next season. Sometimes players will have down seasons, but end up completely turning it around in the following one. This will inevitably happen for this upcoming year, too.

With this piece, we will be focusing on the Detroit Red Wings. They are in the middle of their rebuild, so they may not end up with the strongest of records next season. Yet, we should still expect these two players to have better years, as they are capable of producing much more.

Dylan Larkin C: Dylan Larkin had a rough year offensively this season. In 44 games, he scored nine goals and only had 23 points. However, he is just two seasons removed from a 73-point campaign in 76 games. Therefore, he is able to much more of a threat offensively normally. He should be able to at least get back to the 60-point plateau in an 82-game schedule. He is their first-line center for a reason and will have the chance to winger Jakub Vrana for an entire year. That will sure help his chances.

Vladislav Namestinikov C: Vladislav Namestnikov struggled in his first year with the Red Wings. In 53 games, he only had eight goals and 17 points. With the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche the season before, he scored 17 goals and recorded 31 points in 63 games. He is capable of being an offensively-driven third-line forward when he is on his game. When looking at the way he has played throughout his whole career, a rebound of some kind is in order.
