Florida Panthers: 2 Players Who Will Bounce Back Next Season

With the off-season starting to slow down a bit, we now have a better idea of every team's roster going into next season. Of course there will be other moves, but the craziness from the Expansion Draft and first day of free agency is officially done.

In this segment, we will be taking a look at two players from each NHL team who are set to bounce back next season. Sometimes players will have down seasons, but end up completely turning it around in the following one. This will inevitably happen for this upcoming year, too.

With this specific article, let's focus on the Florida Panthers. They had a fantastic season last year, but could benefit from these two specific players rebounding next season. They are once again going to be in a deep Atlantic Division, so they certainly need them to. It appears that things are heading in the right direction for the Panthers, so expectations will be higher heading into this upcoming season.

Sergei Bobrovsky G: Ever since signing his seven-year, $70 million contract with the Panthers, Sergei Bobrovsky has struggled a lot. The two-time Vezina Trophy winner once was one of the top goalies in the league, but has not looked the same these last two seasons. This season was disappointing for him, as he sported a 19-8-2 record and fairly low .906 SV%. He is capable of producing better numbers and when seeing as how the Panthers lost Chris Driedger this off-season, they need Bobrovsky to step it up again. If not, he could lose his starting job to rookie goaltender, Spencer Knight.

Noel Acciari C: When Noel Acciari first joined the Panthers, he put up a fantastic season. In 66 games during the 2019-20 season, he scored 20 goals and recorded 27 points. That was wonderful production from the bottom-six forward, but he took a step back this season. In 41 games, he only had four goals and 11 points. He showed the season before that he is capable of producing more, so it would not be surprising to see his goal totals go up a bit next season. He may never hit the 20-goal plateau again, but getting back in the double digits would certainly be acceptable.
