Keith Yandle Comments on Why He Signed With the Philadelphia Flyers
Veteran defenseman Keith Yandle felt the Philadelphia Flyers were the best fit for him this offseason and it had a lot to do with their young 'stud' goaltender, Carter Hart. Yandle opened up recently on how his decision to join the Flyers was a no-brainer.
Yandle's excited as ever to get started and can't wait to play in front of a young talent like Hart:
He's a stud. He's a guy when you think of young goalies in the league, you think of him - a guy that I'm definitely excited to play in front of. You hear that he carries himself like he's a 10-year vet. Definitely one of those guys that when you look at signing with the Flyers, you see how good of a goalie they have - that's a big thing
The Flyers recently locked down Hart and hope the young netminder can bounce back and top into the high ceiling of potential. Yandle to the Flyers made a ton of sense as he's close friends with Kevin Hayes and has played for multiple members of the team's coaching staff in the past. Expect the Flyers to be a sleeper team in the eastern conference as they have made a number of bold moves and brought in some serious talent including Yandle, Ryan Ellis, Cam Atkinson, and Rasmus Ristolainen.
