Minnesota Wild: 2 Players Most Likely to Get Traded Next Season

The NHL offseason is underway and there's been a ton of movement so far this summer. Along with mega-contracts being handed out and an expansion draft in Seattle, there's been multiple trades that will have huge impacts on the 2021-22 NHL season. Trades will continue this summer and of course into next season, so we shift our focus to the next deal for each franchise.

Follow along as we highlight a couple of players from each team who are most likely to be traded next season. Our latest stop brought us the San Jose Sharks, now let's make way to Minnesota to visit in with the Wild.

2 Wild Most Likely Getting Traded Next Season:

Matt Dumba: The offensive defenseman has been linked to trade rumors for a few seasons and he's certainly a player to watch next season. Dumba holds no-trade protection with a list of 10 teams he can void a deal to, and is coming off a season where he recorded 21 points in 51 games. A couple of teams interested include the Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames so we'll have to wait and see if anything materializes at the deadline.

Victor Rask: The Swedish center is a pending free agent who could be used as a rental for a contender if the Wild struggle next season. Last season in 54 games Rask recorded 23 points and is never one to blaze up the score sheet. At $4 million he's a bit expensive for a third-line center, so expect teams to wait it out as long as possible to acquire Rask to in order the cost decreases as much as possible.
