Minnesota Wild Kirill Kaprizov Reaches Agreement With KHL Team
Initial hang-up was MIN was only interested in a 7 or 8-year deal for the Calder Trophy winner. That’s not the case. Bunch of options in term.

But the Kaprizov camp contends there has been no offer made since April.
We’ll see where this goes, two sides remain in communication.
What makes this situation so unique is Kaprizov's age as he was a 23-year-old rookie and the biggest hold up has been term during the contract talks. In his rookie of the year season, Kirill the Thrill scored 27 goals and tallied 51 points in 55 games.
While the Wild don't have a #1 center, they certainly have a cornerstone to build around and need to get Kaprizov signed long term. It's likely this is being used by his camp as a tactic to get the deal done sooner, and you can't blame his reps at all. Your move Bill Guerin.
