Minnesota Wild Kirill Kaprizov Reaches Agreement With KHL Team

Minnesota Wild forward and reigning Calder trophy winner Kirill Kaprizov has reportedly reached an agreement with CSKA Moscow that could kick in come September 1 should he not be under contract with the Wild.

What makes this situation so unique is Kaprizov's age as he was a 23-year-old rookie and the biggest hold up has been term during the contract talks.  In his rookie of the year season, Kirill the Thrill scored 27 goals and tallied 51 points in 55 games.

While the Wild don't have a #1 center, they certainly have a cornerstone to build around and need to get Kaprizov signed long term. It's likely this is being used by his camp as a tactic to get the deal done sooner, and you can't blame his reps at all. Your move Bill Guerin.
