Minnesota Wild Re-Sign Kevin Fiala
The Minnesota Wild have re-signed Kevin Fiala to a one-year contract. It will carry a $5.1 million cap hit.
Re-signing Fiala was one of the biggest tasks the Wild had to complete this summer, so it is nice to see it done. He has emerged into one of their top wingers since being traded there during the 2018-19 season by the Nashville Predators.Kevin Fiala & MIN settle at $5.1M

In 50 games this past season with Minnesota, he scored 20 goals and recorded 40 points. He had a 54-point campaign the season before in 64 games, so he is showing consistency with his offense. He will continue to be a key member of their power play and top-six.
In 337 career regular season games, Fiala has scored 91 goals and produced 198 points.
Once this deal expires next off-season, Fiala will once again be a restricted free agent. Therefore, the Wild will still have control over him.
