It was a noticeable improvement from his previous season, as he had just 13 points in 36 games with Laval.Per Habs, two-year deal for Poehling. First year is a two-way, second year is one-way NHL. The last time he suited up for the Montreal Canadiens was during the 2019-20 season. In 27 games, he had a goal and an assist. However, when he first made his debut with the team the season before, he famously scored a hat trick. It was a marvelous start to his career and he is hoping to find that past success moving forward.
Poehling stands a shot of making the team's bottom-six this season. He is just 22 years old, so he definitely has more time to grow.
