Nashville Predators Sign Juuse Saros To Extension
The Nashville Predators have signed goaltender Juuse Saros to a four-year, $20 million contract. It will have an average annual value of $5 million. With this, both parties have avoided arbitration.
Saros is coming off of a fantastic season with the Predators. In 36 games, he had a 21-11-1 record to go along with a 2.28 GAA and .927 SV%. He was the primary reason why the Predators ended up squeezing themselves into the playoffs. He also handled himself well in the postseason, too. Even though he had a 2-4 record against the Hurricanes, he still had a .921 SV%. They simply lost because Carolina's roster was stronger.Nashville and Juuse Saros have a four-year, $20M extension to avoid arbitration

This off-season has seen the Predators make a lot of notable moves, as they have traded away both Ryan Ellis and Viktor Arvidsson. They also lost Calle Jarnkrok to the Kraken. Thus, there was a real sense of urgency to re-sign Saros and they managed to for the long-term. Saros will be one of the most important parts of their core moving forward and at that price, it seems like a potential steal.
In 155 career games with the Predators, the 26-year-old has a 76-47-17 record, 2.28 GAA and .920 SV%.
