New Jersey Devils Re-Sign Key Forward

The New Jersey Devils have signed forward Yegor Sharangovich to a two-year, $4 million cap hit. It will have an average annual value of $2 million.

Sharangovich was quite the pleasant surprise this season, as he had a very good rookie campaign with the Devils. In 54 games with them, he scored an impressive 16 goals to go along with 30 total points. He worked quite well with Jack Hughes, so expect to see him back on his line this upcoming season.

Sharangovich is still just 23-years-old and has plenty of room for growth. It will be interesting to see how he responds to such a fantastic start to his career. He surely will receive plenty of opportunities to succeed, as the Devils do not possess the strongest of forward groups. Therefore, he will continue to be an important part of their power play, too.

Overall, this is a great cap hit for this promising young forward. New Jersey fans should be happy, as this was an important move for them to make this off-season.
