New York Rangers: 2 Players Who Could Be Traded Next Season

The NHL offseason is underway and there's been a ton of movement so far this summer. Along with mega-contracts being handed out and an expansion draft in Seattle, there's been multiple trades that will have huge impacts on the 2021-22 NHL season. Trades will continue this summer and of course into next season, so we shift our focus to the next deal for each franchise.

Follow along as we highlight a couple of players from each team who are most likely to be traded next season. Our last segment got Wild in Minnesota and now we head to the Big Apple to zone in on the New York Rangers.

2 Rangers Most Likely Getting Traded Next Season:

Ryan Strome: The 28-year-old has been named in several trade rumors this summer as the Ottawa Senators, Seattle Kraken, Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers have all held conversations with the Rangers. He's a pending free agent who is best suited as a number two center. Last season he recorded 49 points in 56 games and is underrated with his craftiness. There's certainly a good chance Strome gets dealt next season.

Alexandar Georgiev: With the new contract announced for Igor Shesterkin, it's likely going to push Georgiev out the door. There's going to be a ton of interest in the Russian netminder who has shown he's capable of being the guy. With only 96 games under his belt, and only 25, teams who need a goalie of the future will focus in on the Rangers to pry their talent away. Expect to see the Edmonton Oilers very interested in how things are going in New York next season.
