Philadelphia Flyers: 2 Prospects Who Could Make The Team Next Season

Having a strong prospect pool is such an important thing, as it helps determine the future success of all NHL franchises. Although it is always nice to be competitive now, things changes rapidly and it truly is a young man's league. Therefore, it feels right to start a 32-team segment covering them. During it, we will be looking at two prospects from every NHL franchise who could become NHL regulars next season.

In this piece, we will be focusing on the Philadelphia Flyers. This past year was a rough one for the Flyers, so they will be looking to regroup. They made significant changes to their roster this summer as well, so they will be a fun team to pay close attention to. However, they also have some interesting prospects who should be able to get more playing time next season with them. Here are two that come to mind.

Wade Allison RW: Wade Allison will likely be given a real chance to shine next season with the Flyers. He suited up with them in 14 games this season and in them, he scored four goals and recorded seven points. This success may allow him to secure a permanent spot in their bottom-six at the start of the season. He also did quite well in the AHL, too, as he had nine points in 10 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Morgan Frost C: Morgan Frost only played two games with the Flyers this season and was held without a point. Keep in mind, he played 20 with the team the year before. In them, he scored two goals and recorded seven points, which is not half bad. With the Flyers making changes to their forward group this season, he could find himself getting more playing time next year. He has the potential to be a nice middle-six center for the team in the future and should be given another chance.
