Philadelphia Flyers Re-Sign Travis Sanheim
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Travis Sanheim to a two-year contract. It will have an average annual value of $4.675 million.
The Flyers selected Sanheim with the 17th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has become a mainstay in their top-four and will continue to be. By the time this contract expires, though, he will be eligible for unrestricted free agency.Final arb case of the year is settled. Travis Sanheim and PHI at 2 years, with a $4.675M AAV

It was a bit of a down year for Sanheim this past season. In 55 games, he had three goals and recorded 15 points. With that, he was a -22. That last statistic can partially be blamed on the team's struggles, but he certainly will still need to have it be higher next season.
During the 2018-19 season, he had nine goals and 35 points in 82 games. He would follow that up with a 25-point campaign in 69 games the next season. This is the type of offense he is capable of producing, so expect to see more from him moving forward.
Overall, this is a decent contract for a defenseman of his role.
