Robin Lehner Blasts the Buffalo Sabres Over Medical Treatment
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender was a guest on the Cam and Strick Podcast with Cam Janssen and Andy Strickland and was everything as advertised. Honest as could be Lehner opened up about a number of topics on the podcast including some interesting comments regarding his time in Buffalo with the Sabres.
Lehner admitted while he was injured with a high ankle sprain while playing in Buffalo the team rushed him.
The shit they did to some of the players, especially to me. I had a high ankle sprain and they had me on the bike 1 week after.
A relevant topic indeed as Sabres captain is currently in a medical battle of his own with the team. As for Lehner he would go on about his time on Long Island, playing with Marc-Andre Fleury and some of the backlash he faced due to Fleury's agent.
Lenher: "We had Anders Lee and a few other players that were signing deals that year. We kept taking time and went the NHL Awards, and they said everything was going to be fine. We just kept waiting for an offer and then they wanted us to give them a number" (2/2) #Isles
