Rumor: Columbus Blue Jackets Are Shopping Max Domi
According to Elliotte Friedman, the Columbus Blue Jackets are shopping forward Max Domi. It would not necessarily be all that surprising, as they did leave him unprotected for the Expansion Draft. They traded for him just last off-season in exchange for Josh Anderson.
Domi's first season in Columbus was not impressive for his standards. In 54 games, the 26-year-old forward only scored nine goals and recorded just 24 points. Keep in mind, during the 2018-19 season with the Canadiens, he had 72 points in 82 games. That was only two years ago, so this drop in production is severely puzzling.🚨🚨🚨Trade Rumors: As reported by @FriedgeHNIC in his latest 31 Thoughts podcast he believes the #CBJ are shopping Max Domi.

Friedman notes that the CBJ believe he isn’t a fit in the organization and are trying to move him to a team that is a better fit.

If the Blue Jackets do trade Domi, his value will not be as high as it once was. Therefore, their return for him may not be the greatest. However, if they feel that it is simply time to move on from him, they should. If a trade comes into fruition, Domi will be joining his fourth team in only his seventh NHL season.
