Seattle Kraken Sign Key Defenseman
The Seattle Kraken have signed defenseman Vince Dunn to a two-year, $8 million contract. He was their pick from the St. Louis Blues in the Expansion Draft.
Dunn is a top-four defenseman who is noted for his offensive ability. In 43 games this season with the Blues, he scored six goals and recorded 20 points. His career high in points is 35, and that occurred during the 2018-19 season. He will likely receive plenty of opportunities on the Kraken's power play, so his statistics could very well go up next season. That would certainly be a good thing for Seattle. We've got a *Dunn* deal! 🤝

Seattle notably opted to select him over Vladimir Tarasenko, so it is clear they have high hopes for him. He also is still only 24-years-old, so there is still room for even more growth, too.
Overall, this is an affordable contract and not long, so there's no risk to it. The Kraken now have crossed off a big item from their off-season to-do list.
