Seattle Kraken Sign Veteran Forward
The Seattle Kraken have signed forward Marcus Johansson to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.
Johansson played for the Minnesota Wild last season, but struggled a bit offensively. In 36 games with the team, he scored six goals and only recorded 14 points. In the previous year with the Buffalo Sabres, he scored nine goals and had 30 points in 60 games. This is more in line with the kind of production he's had over the vast majority of his career.🌊 LET'S GO, JOJO! 🌊

With the Kraken, Johansson will likely be playing center, as they noticeably are weak down the middle. However, what is also nice about him is the fact that he can play either wing, too. Therefore, they have plenty of options with him.
With Johansson making so little this season, this could turn out to be a solid signing for the Kraken. It is fair to assume that he can bounce back next season when looking at all of his past success in the league. At a minimum, though, the Kraken are adding a respectable top-nine forward to the group.
