St. Louis Blues: 2 Players Who Will Bounce Back Next Season

With the off-season starting to slow down a bit, we now have a better idea of every team's roster going into next season. Of course there will be other moves, but the craziness from the Expansion Draft and first day of free agency is officially done.

In this segment, we will be taking a look at two players from each NHL team who are set to bounce back next season. Sometimes players will have down seasons, but end up completely turning it around in the following one. This will inevitably happen for this upcoming year, too.

In this piece, we will be focusing on the St. Louis Blues. These two players are certainly bounce back candidates when looking at how they played in previous seasons. If the Blues are hoping to become true contenders again, they need these two to step up more next season.

Jordan Binnington G: Jordan Binnington had an up and down season this year. By the end of it, he sported an 18-14-8 record to go along with a .910 SV%. However, Binnington's spectacular play during the 2018-19 season very well could return. During that year, he had a 24-5-1 record with a .927 SV%. He also was a huge reason for the team winning the Stanley Cup that year, too. This postseason was far from that, though, as he had 0-4 record and .899 SV%. He also went 0-5 with an .851 SV% the postseason before. This trend should end for him this upcoming season.

Zach Sanford LW: After a 30-point campaign in 58 games last season, Zach Sanford saw a noticeable decline in production. In 52 games, he scored 10 goals and had 16 points. He also was a -13 on the year, which is extremely low for him. In fact, he never was a minus-player before this. Sanford should be able to rebound both offensively and defensively next season. The talent is there and he should continue to be a solid middle-six winger for them again.
