St. Louis Blues Re-Sign Zach Sanford
The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Zach Sanford to a one-year, $2 million contract. He was another key restricted free agent they needed to re-sign.
Sanford is coming off of a bit of a down year this season. In 52 games, he scored 10 goals and recorded 16 points. However, in the season before, he had 16 goals and 30 points in just 58 games. Therefore, he is capable of being an offensive threat when he is on his game. If given some time on the power play as a net-front presence, perhaps he could see his offensive totals shoot back up again.Zach Sanford has agreed to terms on a new one-year deal. #stlblues

At a minimum, Sanford is a very solid third-liner who can produce decent depth scoring for the Blues moving forward. His large size also makes him an imposing figure on the ice. This is especially the case when he engages in the physical side of the game.
At the end of this season, Sanford will be eligible for unrestricted free agency. A strong season could get him a nice contract on the open market next summer.
