Vancouver Canucks Sign Jason Dickinson
The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Jason Dickinson to a three-year contract. It will have an average annual value of $2.65 million. The Canucks acquired him earlier this off-season from the Dallas Stars.
In 51 games this past season with Dallas, Dickinson scored seven goals and recorded 15 points. When it comes to his role with Vancouver, he is expected to be their third-line center. That makes a lot of sense, as he can produce fairly solid depth scoring, while also being quite effective defensively. This was a big reason why he was a primary penalty killer with the Stars. With the Canucks, he will surely be doing the same.3 x $2.65 million, per #Canucks https://t.co/nkEfZSQk6Y

Another nice element about Dickinson is that he is still just 26-years-old. Therefore, he is not due for any significant regression for quite some time. The cap hit is not too high and he will still be in his late 20s by the end of the it.
In 221 career games, Dickinson has scored 25 goals and recorded 63 points.
