2021 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The 2021 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame inductees have been announced. Paul Holmgren, Stan Fischler and Peter McNab are the three latest people to achieve this honor.

Holmgren has been very active in professional hockey. As a player with the Philadelphia Flyers and Minnesota North Stars, he suited up in 527 games, where he had 144 goals and recorded 323 points. He also had a monstrous 1,684 penalty minutes. After playing, he worked as a head coach for the Flyers and Hartford Whalers, where he sported a 161-219-45 record. He also has worked in Philadelphia's front office as a president, general manager and director of pro scouting. He still is with the Flyers today as a senior advisor and CEO.

Fischler has been a hockey writer and a broadcaster in the New York area for decades. He retired from MSG Networks on air productions after the 2017-18 season. The 89-year-old also won the Lester Patrick Trophy in 2007. He also has over 100 books published, with the majority being focused on hockey. 

McNab had a very strong career in the NHL. In 955 career games between the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils, he had 363 goals, 450 assists and 813 points. He also has worked as a color commentator for the Colorado Avalanche since the 1995-96 season.
