2022 NHL Heritage Classic Officially To Be Played In Hamilton
Late last month, we discussed that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres may end playing the 2022 Heritage Classic in Hamilton. Now, it's been officially confirmed. The two teams will battle at Tim Hortons Field on March 13, 2022.
This will be the first Heritage Classic since 2019. During that year, the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames played at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. In total, there have been five Heritage Classic games. Interestingly, the Leafs are the only Canadian team who have to appear in one, but that of course is set to change. Buffalo will also be the first team from the United States to participate in a Heritage Classic game, too.The @MapleLeafs will take on the @BuffaloSabres in the 2022 Heritage Classic at Tim Hortons Field. 🍁 pic.twitter.com/gPvMhL9IFY

Tim Horton of course played for both the Leafs and Sabres during his NHL career as well.
Nonetheless, it's always fun when hockey is played outside, so you won't want to miss these two teams face off.
