Anaheim Ducks: 3 Players With Expiring Contracts

With the off-season almost completed, it feels right to take a preview into next year's. In this segment, we will be looking at three players from each team who have expiring contracts. Both restricted and unrestricted free agents are eligible for discussion.

The Anaheim Ducks will be discussed in this one. They have multiple players who are eligible for unrestricted free agency next summer. Due to the fact that they are embracing their rebuild, each of them could be rentals later on in the season.

Josh Manson D (UFA): Josh Manson is a very notable player with an expiring contract on the Ducks. The 6'3" right-handed defenseman plays a very physical game and is known for his solid play in his own zone. Due to the fact that the Ducks are rebuilding, he is a prime rental candidate. In 23 games this past season, he scored a goal and recorded seven points. The Ducks will have a lot of callers about him.

Hampus Lindholm D (UFA): Hampus Lindholm is another player who the Ducks could end up trading before the deadline. The 27-year-old defenseman was limited to just 18 games this past season, where he had two goals and six points. When healthy, he is capable of hitting the 25 to 35 points per season. Plenty of teams looking for help on the left side should be calling about him.

Rickard Rakell F (UFA): Rickard Rakell's name has been in the rumor mill for a bit, but a trade has yet to occur. The 28-year-old forward is capable of playing all three forward positions, so he certainly comes with a lot of versatility. In 52 games this past season, he scored nine goals and recorded 28 points. Those stats were not bad at all, but he is capable of producing even more. This is perfectly shown through his 69-point campaign in 77 games during the 2017-18 season.

Honorable Mention: Ryan Getzlaf C (UFA)
