Anaheim Ducks Sign Tobias Rieder To PTO Contract
The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Tobias Rieder to a professional tryout contract.
When looking at Anaheim's roster, it is fair to say that Rieder does have a shot of getting a contract. He could be an interesting fit for their fourth-line or even just as another depth piece.Anaheim #Ducks have signed UFA forward Tobias Rieder to a PTO.

Rieder played with Buffalo last season where he had 5 goals and 2 assists in 44 games.https://t.co/E2iKhf7X9G https://t.co/7Mo8ITpcwh
In 44 games this past season with the Buffalo Sabres, the 28-year-old winger scored five goals and had seven points. Previously, he did have some success offensively in the NHL, as he got over the 30-point plateau twice with the Arizona Coyotes. However, since his goalless 2018-19 season with the Edmonton Oilers, he's taken a step back offensively.
In 478 career games between the Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings, Oilers, Calgary Flames and Sabres, Rieder has 64 goals, 81 assists and 145 points.
It will be intriguing to see if he will get a contract for the season with Anaheim. They have not done much of anything this off-season, so it would be nice to see a new face.
