Barclay Goodrow Thrown Out Of First Game With New York Rangers
Barclay Goodrow's first preseason game with the New York Rangers has ended very quickly. The 28-year-old forward was handed a five-minute major and game misconduct for boarding Kyle MacLean of the New York Islanders.
The Rangers signed Goodrow to a six-year, $21,850,000 contract this summer. A big reason for the move was because of his immense tenacity and love for the physical side of the game. The Rangers certainly are aiming to be tougher this season, as they brought in players like Ryan Reaves, Jarred Tinordi and Patrik Nemeth as well. We’ve got our first "National League or Not?" of the pre-season

Goodrow also of course won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning over these last two seasons. In 55 games this past season, he scored six goals and recorded 20 points. He also had six points and 26 penalty minutes in 18 postseason games.
Ranger fans who were excited to see Goodrow's debut must feel disappointed that it's already over.
Do you feel that the call on him was the right one? Is a suspension on the way? Let us know in the comments!
