Blue Jackets Patrik Laine Calls Himself Out Over Last Season
Once Patrik Laine was traded from the Winnipeg Jets to the Columbus Blue Jackets he was supposed to once again find his scoring touch and be one of the best snipers in the league. Instead he was benched multiple times by his then coach and couldn't seem to find his game. How bad was it? Just ask Laine himself and he'll tell you.

Yes, Laine thinks he played pretty shitty last season and when your expected to score 40 goals a season and you put up 21 points in 45 games, it certainly warrants this assessment.
Laine is expected to bounce back and have a huge year in 2021-22. He will be skating with Jakub Voracek this season and could find some chemistry on his line. A new coach as well, however Brad Larsen was an assistant with the club last season and actually was someone who Laine got into it with throughout the season.
Keep a close eye on Laine this year. He could bounce back and end up signing a long-term extension in Columbus or could struggle and find himself on the trade bait list.
