Calgary Flames Are Bringing Back Michael Stone
The Calgary Flames are staying busy today. After signing Erik Gudbranson earlier, they now have re-signed defenseman Michael Stone to a one-year deal. It will have an average annual value of $750,000 contract.
Stone has been a part of the Calgary Flames organization since the 2016-17 season. In 21 games this past year with the team, he scored two goals and recorded four total points. He was sent down to the minors briefly as well. In four games with the Stockton Heat, he scored two goals.Stone Cold 🪨

Stone will likely be utilized as a depth defenseman for the team yet again. It is hard to find anything to complain about with this signing. It is a very cheap contract and he already is a very familiar face.
It also does not hurt that Stone has a lot of NHL experience. In 493 games between the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes and Flames, he has 33 goals, 95 assists and 128 points.
Calgary fans, how do you feel about the team bringing back Stone? Let us know.
