Calgary Flames Re-Sign Connor Mackey

The Calgary Flames have signed Connor Mackey to a two-year extension. It will have an average annual value of $912,500.

After a strong collegiate career with Minnesota State University Mankato, Mackey played his first season of professional hockey. He appeared in six contests with the Calgary Flames, where he had a goal and two assists. He also had tacked on a notable 20 penalty minutes. In 27 games with the Stockton Heat, he also performed well offensively. He scored three goals and recorded 16 points. 

Mackey is expected to compete for a spot in the team's top-six this season and stands a real shot of making it. The 24-year-old is a player for Calgary fans to keep a close eye on this season.
