Check Out Trevor Zegras' Hot Take On Cole Caufield

The NHL's official Twitter account posted a tweet asking for its followers' biggest hot takes. Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras joined in the fun and stated that fellow youngster Cole Caufield will score 40 goals this season for the Montreal Canadiens.

Caufield certainly impressed in his first taste of NHL action this past season. In 10 regular season games with the Canadiens, he scored four goals and added an assist. He then had four goals and 12 points in 20 postseason games. That is very solid production from a player who just finished their collegiate career.

Caufield started the season with the University of Wisconsin and absolutely lit up his competition. In 31 games, he scored 30 goals and had 52 points. Therefore, he does have the potential to be a dominant sniper in this league.

Do you think Zegras' hot take will come into fruition? It's clear that he has an immense amount of faith in his fellow 2019 first round pick and Team USA teammate. No matter what happens with Caufield this season, he will surely be a joy to watch. The same goes for Zegras, of course.
