Chicago Blackhawks: 3 Bold Predictions for the 2021-22 Season

The Chicago Blackhawks have become a team to watch in 2021-22 as the roster will look much different opening night this season. With Seth Jones, Tyler Johnson and Marc-Andre Fleury in town, and the expected return of captain Jonathan Toews, the Blackhawks could become a serious powerhouse. General manager Stan Bowman will be active this season and it's going to be an entertaining season in the Windy City.

3 Bold Predictions About the Blackhawks

Alex DeBrincat Scores 45 Goals

DeBrincat found his game once again last season and a season with both Jonathan Toews and Kirby Dach in the lineup could bode well for DeBrincat. The balance will help and so will the power play as the team is expected to have one of the best units in the league. DeBrincat is coming off a season where he scored 32 goals in 52 games and with a full 82-game schedule, the sniper will get back to scoring 40-plus.

Chicago Blackhawks Make Western Conference Final

With Fleury in net and a balanced attack up front, a lot of the pressure will be on the Blackhawks defense. If they can be up to the task, and management can go out and get another veteran throughout the season, look for the Blackhawks to make the final four this season. There's certainly a ton of question marks, but this is one of the most talented roster in the league and the talent will prevail this season.

Dylan Strome Gets Traded

With Toews and Dach back in the fold, if Strome doesn't become a more defensively sound center, he's not going to be in Chicago much longer. The team will need a shut-down #3 center as Toews and Dach can carry the load with the top-six forwards. Strome still has trade value and the 24-year-old is coming off a season where he scored 17 points in 40 games. The spotlight will be shining on his defensive game, and if he can't perform, the team will be making a trade.
