Colorado Avalanche Sign Artem Anisimov To PTO
The Colorado Avalanche have signed Artem Anisimov to a professional tryout contract. Last week, the Avalanche did the same with fellow veteran Jack Johnson.
Anisimov played 19 games this past season with the Ottawa Senators and did well in his limited action. He scored two goals and recorded nine points. In the previous season with the Senators, he scored 15 goals and had 20 points in 49 games. Therefore, he can provide solid depth scoring if the Avalanche end up signing him to a contract for the year.#Avs have signed UFA forward Artem Anisimov to a PTO.

There is no harm in Colorado taking a look at Anisimov, as they do not have to commit to him and it gives them another potential option moving forward.
In 771 career NHL games between the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks and Senators, the 33-year-old center has 180 goals, 196 assists and 376 points.
