Colorado Avalanche Sign Logan O'Connor To Extension

The Colorado Avalanche have signed Logan O'Connor to a three-year extension. It will have an average annual value of $1.05 million. It will start during the 2022-23 season.

O'Connor is slowly starting cementing himself a permanent spot in Colorado's bottom-six and this extension proves it. In 22 games this past season, he scored three goals and recorded five points. He also played in two postseason games, but failed to record a point.

O'Connor is a player who can be utilized on the penalty kill, which only helps his overall value to the team. The Avalanche also had a few departures with their forward group this season, so O'Connor should be given more playing time this season.

Overall, this looks like a solid signing for the Avalanche. It is very cheap and with O'Connor still being just 25 years old, he still has room for growth.

In 43 career games, O'Connor has five goals, two assists and seven points.
