Edmonton Oilers First-Round Pick To Miss Training Camp
Edmonton Oilers prospect Dylan Holloway has had wrist surgery and will not be attending the team's training camp. His expected recovery time is at least three months.
Holloway was expected to fight for a spot on the NHL squad this season after signing his entry-level contract this past April. In 23 games last season with the University of Wisconsin, he scored 11 goals and recorded 35 points. The 19-year-old center truly broke out, as he had just 17 points in his first collegiate season.#Oilers forward Dylan Holloway has undergone successful wrist surgery with an expected recovery time of at least three months.

During the recovery process of his previous wrist injury, it was determined by specialists that he required further surgery. https://t.co/fBgDabhuPn
The Oilers drafted Holloway 14th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, so they have a lot of faith in him.
Once Holloway is fully healed, it will be intriguing to see what Edmonton decides to do with him. With the Oilers having questionable depth in their bottom-six, he could still find himself on their NHL roster this year. When seeing as how well he played in college this past season, he has an abundance of potential.
