The Florida Panthers are a team to look out for in the Eastern Conference. They have a talented roster loaded with balance and potential, and this could be the season the Panthers really put themselves on the map. Expect management to go all-in this season and let's examine a couple of trade rumors following the team into the 2021-22 season:

Evgeni Malkin on the Team's Radar

If the Pittsburgh Penguins falter this season, expect the trade speculation surrounding Evgeni Malkin to pick up drastically and the Panthers will be sitting there waiting with open arms. It's believed Malkin prefers the Panthers if he doesn't finish his career in Pittsburgh. The Panthers have the prospects and young talent to construct a deal, so this will certainly be a storyline to watch this season.

Defenseman Trade Coming Soon

Make no mistake about it, the Panthers want to add to their blueline. The team is set in goal, they are set up front, but have some work to do on their back end. Health has been a huge issue and it's expected the Panthers have been considering a couple of free agents to invite to training camp on a tryout basis. This will be a band-aid solution, and expect a serious trade this season from the Panthers and it will include a defenseman heading to the sunshine state.
