Gustav Nyquist Is Ready To Return For Columbus Blue Jackets

Gustav Nyquist missed the entirety of this past season due to shoulder surgery. Now, the 32-year-old winger is fully healed and ready to return. This is great news for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In Nyquist's first year with Columbus, he scored 15 goals and recorded 42 points in 70 games. The Blue Jackets should be happy to have him back, especially if he's able to continue to produce at that rate. He's a solid second-line winger who has been very consistent throughout his career.

In 570 career NHL games between the Detroit Red Wings, San Jose Sharks and Blue Jackets, Nyquist has 146 goals, 202 assists and 348 points. Those numbers are not bad at all.

The Blue Jackets have lost many key players over the last year, so it is nice to see them get one of their skilled guys back. It will be interesting to see how well he plays after so much time away.
