Kevin Hayes Out For The Philadelphia Flyers
Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes will be out six to eight weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery. This will keep him out until at least the beginning of November. This is a hard way for the Flyers to start the season.
Hayes is one of Philadelphia's most important forwards as he provides a little bit of everything. In 55 games this past season, the alternate captain scored 12 goals and recorded 31 points. He also can provide very solid play on both the power play and penalty kill when utilized on it.INJURY UPDATES:

With the Metropolitan Division looking very competitive this season, being without Hayes, even for just the month, is certainly a big loss. However, this could open the door to prospect Morgan Frost getting a bigger chance to start the season. He's certainly somebody the Flyers are hoping can take that next step this season. Furthermore, newcomer Derick Brassard was added for situations like these and is still a decent scorer.
Thankfully, though, Hayes will be back for a large portion of the season still. Here's to hoping he gets healthy very quickly. He's always a fun player to watch.
