Los Angeles Kings: 2 Underrated Players To Watch

The NHL has so many underrated players who deserve far more recognition. In this segment, we will be discussing two from every team in the league. Their overall roles and abilities may differ, but they all share the common theme that they are not as respected as they ought to be.

For full transparency, two teams will be randomly picked from a wheel each day. The winners will then be discussed.

In today's first piece, we will be focusing on the Los Angeles Kings. Like many other rebuilding teams, many hockey fans do not seem to give them enough attention. However, with their immensely strong prospect pool and strong off-season, they could be a dark horse in the Pacific Division. These two underrated players also should be able to help them a lot this season.

Sean Walker D: Sean Walker has quietly emerged into a very good NHL defenseman. His true breakout year came during the 2019-20 season, when he scored five goals and recorded 24 points in 70 games. He then followed that up with 18 points in just 47 games this past season. He is a legitimate top-four defenseman in this league and opposing fans should pay far more attention to him. It will be interesting to see what he provides this upcoming season.

Trevor Moore LW: Trevor Moore proved that he is meant for a permanent role in the NHL this past season. In 56 games, he scored 10 goals and recorded 23 points. It was the first time in his career that he played the entire season in the NHL and he made the best of his opportunity. Heading into this season, it will not be surprising to see him be a lock for the third-line. When looking at the fact that he can provide solid depth scoring, it makes all the sense in the world.
